About the Program

We’re excited to announce that the EV Rebate Program now includes used electric vehicles! This makes electric cars more affordable for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians!

The rebate is an initiative of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and is administered by Hydro.

  • The purchase or lease (minimum 48 months) of a new all-electric vehicle*.
  • The purchase of a pre-owned all-electric vehicle.

Rebates will be issued to qualified participants for eligible all-electric EVs purchased on or after May 31, 2021. Completed applications will be accepted from September 1, 2021 to March 15, 2022.
